I'm also wondering what differences there are between the carburated and fuel injected versions of the 650 motor. Other useful info to know would be how the oil metering pump should be adjusted.Īlso looking to find out what kind of clearance there should be on the magneto coils, I don't seem to be getting enough power to keep the battery charged below 4000-5000rpm, is that normal? I do understand that permanent magnet generators will generate much less power at low revs, but I'm not sure exactly where it should start generating enough to keep the fuel pump running without draining the battery. I want to know for example what the spark timing is supposed to be, does the CDI box have an advance curve? I'm looking for a service manual or something similar.
